Alkaline Batteries

Alkaline Batteries

Alkaline batteries are a type of primary batteries dependent upon the reaction between zinc and manganese dioxide. They include household AAA,AA,C,D and 9V batteries.

Reuse Options

MSU departments can send unused batteries in their original packaging through campus mail to the Surplus Store in an envelope or reused copy paper box. If you have more than a copy paper box submit a PURF. Students, faculty and staff can drop items off at the Surplus Store during regular business hours.
